Wisdom is connected to conformity, tradition and beliefs
Wisdom is the card drawn today from The Psychic Tarot Oracle Deck by John Holland. It is the 5th card of the Major Arcana. This card is equivalent to Hierophant, ( Taurus ) in a traditional tarot spread.
The number 5 resonates with the energies of; change, uncertainty, freedom, travel, energy, unpredictability, risk-taking, independence, need for change, need for movement, human body, restlessness, change, life lessons learned through experience, variety, adaptability and versatility, resourcefulness, motivation, progress, activity, experience, travel and adventure, sympathy and understanding, companion-ability, release and surrender, influence, sensuality.
When you see Wisdom, it represents a leader of a community, the wise old woman, the shaman, the elder who shares his/her wisdom with others. “When the student is ready the master appears.” ~ Buddha
Keep your eyes peeled for a teacher or guide, bringing the knowledge and guidance you need to move forward more confidently. People often turn up in your life just when you need them, especially if there is a certain lesson you need to learn. The universe is ordered in such a way that things happen when they are supposed to and when you are ready for knowledge, it will be offered. Look for signs and you will be shown the way.
Wisdom could represent someone who has the knowledge and ability to integrate spirituality and its laws into the constraints of the physical world. Or it could be an organization or group of like-minded souls, where you can share your thoughts and get valuable feedback. It can also indicate that you may feel compelled to join some sort of group or institution. It may be joining a new church or religious group or joining a gym. This Tarot card is about identifying with a way of thinking that will have benefit for you and will prompt further learning.
However, it is often a card that suggests you may be giving your power away to someone else or even a group of people. It is a card for blindly following what everyone else is doing. It can suggest that you are not taking responsibility for your own life or your spiritual beliefs, but rather surrendering your free will to another. At some stage though, you need to strike out on your own, live by your own beliefs and have your own opinions. You need to explore life for yourself and in doing so, may discover that what you thought you needed is not the right direction for you. It is time to think outside the box and form your own views.
On the other hand, do you have knowledge and wisdom that you could impart to others? The Wisdom card could also represent you as the teacher imparting your knowledge and wisdom to help someone else. Is sharing your knowledge and compassion or benefiting from another’s wisdom, what you need to do right now?
In regards to relationships, Wisdom can suggest that you are doing what everyone expects of you. You may be keeping up appearances on the outside when things are far from right inside. Wisdom can also represent the person who wishes to leave their partner but fears what people will think, he stands for doing your duty in a relationship.
By three methods we may learn wisdom:
First, by reflection which is noblest;
Second, by imitation which is easiest;
Third by experience which is the bitterest ~ Confucius
