Trapped in Fear is a card that is connected to being immobilised by fear
Trapped in fear is the card drawn today from The Psychic Tarot Oracle Deck by John Holland. It is the 8th card of the suit mental from the Minor Arcana. This card is equivalent to the 8 of swords in a traditional tarot spread.
The number 8 vibrates with the energy of; infinity, compassion, control and power, self-confidence, executive ability, confidence, inner-strength, management, material freedom, success, good judgement, money, finances, riches, manifesting wealth, abundance and prosperity.
The indigo border symbolises inner wisdom and perception, as well as a vivid imagination. It is the colour associated with the third eye chakra.
When you see Trapped In Fear it reveals that it’s your own mind that has you trapped, preventing you from making choices. You feel like your mind is on a merry – go – round of worry and you don’t know how to get off.
You are the only one holding yourself prisoner and you hold the key to freedom. To continue your journey, you must first face your fears so that new people and conditions can manifest.
Many individuals choose to stay in this place because they are afraid of the unknown, they feel a misguided sense of safety there, or they’re afraid of starting something new. But staying will only add to your levels of stress and anxiety and create adverse effects on your physical body.
Trapped In Fear advises that you seek out wise counsel for assistance because you don’t have to do this alone. Know that you possess all of the tools that you need to free yourself, remember how strong you really are! The fear will end when you use your mind to cut through the limitations caused by your emotions, all that may be necessary is a reality check. Try seeing the problem from a different perspective, there is always more than one possibility.
Know that you have the answers that you need inside already and time spent in quiet alone or on a nature walk, will be helpful. Look for signs of synchronicity to feel a sense of purpose and meaning in your life. When you get in touch on the inner, it will help you feel as though you are not alone, and being guided by the universe.
I remember once when I asked the question, ‘am I doing the right thing?’ I saw a picture of a signpost saying, stop three times on the same day. Two I saw on the TV in two separate programs and one I saw in a magazine. I took that as a sign and answer to my question. Ask the question and then look for the sign.
Either way, this is a simple card of bad luck, but usually, nothing life-changing. Maybe your car doesn’t start when you go shopping one day, or you get a bill in the mail that you weren’t expecting. Hopefully, it can be handled. Remember it’s your mind that is causing you to feel trapped.
“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”
