To Be Walked Alone by Prabha

To Be Walked Alone

The path was to be walked alone
From the very first breath taken
Unheld, unloved and unwanted

Born to be wrong; the flawed jigsaw piece
Endeavours to remould failed
Rumours spread like wildfire, kept in isolation
Even feared;

Every move witnessed reported and demonised
Sanity finally lost

Leading to proof of wrongness
A great defence for the persecutors
Within the insanity came a freedom
From the circus of sanity
The only sanctuary of peace and calm

Rightness was found and nurtured somehow
Blooming, blossoming and burgeoning alone
Unaware of it being discerned

In this asylum
Panic and terror arise by the discovery
The discoverers attempt to verify their authenticity
And genuine intention
To coax back out into lucidity

Both realms have their complexities in truth
Which leads to only one option
Wandering in the wilderness alone
And onwards

Poetics describes a whole range of engagements with life that are storied, reflective and filled with imagination and inspiration, as opposed to analysis in the strict sense. When science rules, the magic fades. When thinking ascends the throne, the soul may atrophy. Yet poetics is not irrational – it is a take which reaches into a different aspect of our humanity – one where we can celebrate that which moves us, not dwell on what limits us. Expect surprises. One or many may lead. None or a few may follow and then decide to take the lead. This is a fluidity to break the mould of rigidity. Join us on this journey. Let us hold hands boldly and join voices transformatively. Prabha will be leading us. Feel free to join us.
