When you see The Moon, it means repressed feelings (shadow), may be coming to the surface, colouring your vision of the future. The Moon is ruled by Pisces and it is Neptunian energy (water). Hidden here are all the memories you most want to avoid, so you push them into the depths of the subconscious. Things may seem somewhat confusing to you now. Meaning you could be feeling fear about the future and the unknown based on past experiences.

To remedy this, there needs to be purging and releasing old emotional energy. Getting in touch with personal fears and anxieties to finally forgive, release and let go. It can be a bit overwhelming to face what has been hidden in your subconscious for so long.

Often it can be that you are letting your imagination run away with you. On the other hand, perhaps someone is duping you or you are deceiving yourself.

Do you keep yourself ultra-busy to avoid facing your emotions?

When strong emotions come into our consciousness, there is often something inside of us which says, “I’ll deal with it later.” The problem with this approach is that ‘later’ never comes and these emotions get pushed further down, out of our conscious awareness. Often this causes you to get sick because it takes a lot more effort to store the pain than confront it. It’s no wonder why people feel tired listless and in pain all the time.

The Moon card is asking you to connect with the forgotten, ignored parts of your own psyche. Embody the soft Piscean energy and open your self to new possibilities. Very often the reality of the situation may not be as bad as you think. Try for just a second to experiment with the possibility of the emotion never leaving you, and being totally okay with it, without needing to change anything. Notice how this attitude feels, compared to that of resistance. It can almost feel peaceful, even in the midst of very heavy emotions.

This card points to a highly emotional time in love relationships. It’s not a good time to begin or end a relationship. Also, remember it’s just as important to forgive yourself.

Most people think that shadows follow, precede or surround beings or objects. The truth is that they also surround words, ideas, desires, deeds, impulses and memories. ~ Elie Wiesel

The moon does not fight. It attacks no one. It does not worry. It does not try to crush others. It keeps to its course, but by its very nature, it gently influences. What other body could pull an entire ocean from shore to shore? The moon is faithful to its nature and its power is never diminished. ~  Deng Ming-Dao
