Power is a card connected to finding inner strength
Power is the card drawn today from The Psychic Tarot Oracle Deck by John Holland. It is the 8th card of the Major Arcana. This card is equivalent to Strength (Leo) in a traditional tarot spread.
The number 8 vibrates with the energy of; authority and personal power, self-confidence, executive ability, confidence, inner-strength, professionalism, management, material freedom, success, good judgement, money, finances, riches, manifesting wealth, abundance and prosperity, provision, investments, discrimination, discernment, giving and receiving, thoroughness, dependability, self-reliance, repose, practicality.
When you see Power it means that your inner strength is being tested. It asks you to calm down and not just react to a situation. Power can reassure you that no matter what is going on, no matter how dreadful the situation is, you do have the inner-strength at your disposal to handle the situation. Leos often appear brave and bold outwardly but often feel lacking in confidence, fearful and with low self-esteem. In fact, Leos do inherently have great inner strength, they just have to believe in themselves a bit more and to put their inner strength to the test.
Power offers you a way to approach even difficult situations with patience and conviction. Your mastery is achieved softly, not through brute force but by exerting your will to solve a problem.
This card reminds you that sometimes you must play the long game. Meaningful changes take place when you have the patience to hold space for others. You need to have the courage to face challenges and most of all, you need to have the fortitude to keep showing up no matter what setbacks you encounter.
It also reminds you of your power, the power to be gentle yet strong. It is power aligned with your heart and with your soul’s purpose. Strength shows you how to find that power and use it with courtesy, compassion, generosity, and self-discipline.
You have always been a strong person, however, strength without control is meaningless. If you forget what is truly important in your life, such as love and faith, then you can find yourself using brute strength to get through the day just scraping by at work and in your relationships. Be aware of how your efforts align with your values in life.
Always remember, you are a spiritual being, you have unlimited power at your command. This card represents inner strength, willpower, courage, compassion, generosity, and love. You are accepting and can easily forgive any imperfections. In doing this, you create a safe and trusting environment where you can then gently influence others. This demonstrates a level of gentle control, persuading and coaxing others to your way of thinking. The main lesson from this card is that emotions must be transcended if spiritual wisdom and intuition are to be awakened.
In regards to relationships, this card may represent a Leo. Leos often have the reputation of being unable to combine both a successful career with a successful relationship. Usually one will suffer at the expense of the other. If you are experiencing difficulties in a relationship don’t run from them. Face them head-on and you will have sufficient strength to deal with them before they get out of hand.
Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble. Yehuda Berg
