Mental Conflict is a card that is connected to self-doubt
Mental Conflict is the card drawn today from The Psychic Tarot Oracle Deck by John Holland. It is the 2nd card of the suit mental from the Minor Arcana. This card is equivalent to the 2 of swords, in a traditional tarot spread.
The number 2 represents, diplomat, friend, artist, enduring peacemaker, gentle, kind, charming, insightful, sensitive, team-player, ambitious, spiritual, well-mannered, placid, just, unselfish, harmonious, sociable, supportive, attention to detail, co-operative, decisive, poise, intuitive, adaptable, agreeable, cautious, considerate, emotional flexibility.
The indigo border which represents the mental suit reflects inner wisdom and perception. It’s associated with the third eye chakra.
When you see Mental Conflict, it means that a difficult decision has to be made. This is bound to be causing you a lot of stress as the decision is usually not straight forward. You may find yourself torn apart with the whole situation or may be required to take sides in an argument but find that your loyalties are divided.
Do you have a decision to make?
Are your fears from the past holding you back?
Is past negative programming playing on your mind?
You could be finding it difficult to move forward with a person, group or situation in your life
Frustration or confusion around professional projects is possible. You could be wrestling with self-doubt which is related to past events and is no longer relevant. Events that are no longer relevant to who you are now.
Should I go here or there?
Should I say yes or no?
Whatever decision you make, you will always wonder if you should have decided the other way. The only way out of this dilemma is, to let go of the conflict in your head. This is not a follow your head decision but more of a follow your heart.
What are your feelings telling you?
It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed in this situation but the first thing you need to do is breathe. Realise that Mental Conflict means you are having your own internal battle and that this is just a temporary passing phase. Relax and tune into your intuition, trust and have faith in your own inner guidance. Before you know it you will be moving towards your cherished goals. Just remember, you have the strength, courage and power to see this through.
In a relationship, the Mental Conflict suggests that a painful decision has to be made causing upset and distress. Perhaps you are struggling with the painful decision to leave your partner and this card highlights the mental anguish and dilemma you are experiencing. You must withdraw to a certain extent to make sense of it. Maybe a painful decision has to be made between two prospective partners and you don’t want to hurt either.
Remember, there is no right or wrong decision and even if you feel you made the wrong decision, you can always change your mind.
There’s assistance out there for you, so seek out and listen to wise counsel to help you make the right decisions. Listen to your intuition and have faith in yourself. Peace and harmony will soon be yours. John Holland
