Intuition is connected to, mystery, feminine forces, magic, spiritual knowledge, wisdom and listening to your inner voice
Intuition is the card drawn today from The Psychic Tarot Oracle Deck by John Holland. It is the 2nd card of the Major Arcana. This card is equivalent to The High Priestess, (Moon, ruler of the sign Cancer (Water)) in the traditional tarot deck.
The number 2 resonates with the energy of; Ambivalence, duality, polarity, good/bad, either/or, joy/sorrow, love/hate, rich/poor, ability to feel and use emotions, balanced judgment through intuitive awareness. The number 2 includes both positive and negative attributes because of its polaric energy.
When you see Intuition, it means you need to pay attention to your dreams and gut feelings. Look for areas in your life that may be out of balance or that require greater foresight and wisdom. Knowledge of how to fix it will not come through logic or intellect but through your intuition, so put aside a time when you can meditate and listen to your own inner voice. You should retreat from your situation and all external distraction so that you can reflect on all aspects at play.
Turn off your inner critic. Often times you rationalise away the voice within. This time, listen without judgment. Allow the inner dialogue to happen without fear or ridicule. Find a place where you can allow emotions to flow freely. Create an emotional connection to an object, a colour, a piece of music or anything that will allow feelings to stir that are solely from within and do not carry intellectual or rational reasoning. This will aid you in creating a new, deeper relationship with the self, help clarify that inner voice, and allow you to bring your true instinctual awareness back into your rational everyday life.
Intuition can also represent an over-reliance on the opinions of others
You may have an excessive need for approval and validation. Whereas, what is needed is greater confidence in yourself and a deeper knowing that you have the answers already within. You know exactly what the solution to your problem is and what or who is causing it. So, why do you ask to hear the answers from others? They do not always know what is best for you. Only you know that.
Message from the book
This card is a reminder that you always have your intuition at your disposal whenever you need it! Just give it a chance and you’ll notice how often it tries to get your attention. With so much information in this world vying for your every thought and attention, it’s easy to ignore or fail to acknowledge your insights. Synchronicities and so-called coincidences are powerful signs that intuition is knocking on your door.
- Have you heard a phrase or saying repeated by more than one person on the same day?
- Do the same numbers keep showing up in your life?
- Has someone mentioned the name of a specific individual that you were just thinking of?
These are all signals for you to pause, be open, and pay attention.
This is a perfect time to seek the answers from within. Turn inward, where you’ll find the solutions and valuable insights that are waiting to assist you. When you learn to use and trust your intuition, you’ll begin to have a better sense of timing, as well as being able to perceive people and situations with a deeper and more discerning eye. You’ll not only observe beneath and beyond what’s actually in front of you — you’ll see the real deal! ~ John Holland
