Here is your Astroweekend 28th 29th 30th June 2019
Welcome to your Astroweekend bonanza of astrology, tarot, and runes. Rayna gives you an overview of the weekend’s planetary emphasis, while Karen’s major arcana card adds an archetypal energetic flavour and direction to the astrology. Finally, I weave this into the three runes I draw to connect the divinatory modes into the message focus and conclusion. We hope you enjoy our collaborative efforts! Which is the very basis of everything we wish to bring about through Arts & Esoterics… Alex
This is the last weekend when we can chill out and relax undisturbed by sudden bumps on the road. We are entering the eclipse season with the potent solar eclipse in Cancer. The energies of this weekend will help us to rest and be more reflective. Mercury is now in Leo and the Moon will move into Gemini at the end of this period so the time out is not going to be exactly what most people imagine as relaxing. This will be an active mental process that will help us to transition into the new vibrational setting of the coming eclipses but this will happen while we are having fun.
Mercury moves into Leo while he still conjuncts Mars, bringing some bold ideas expressed in an articulative and enthusiastic manner and quickly put in action without any hesitation. All this is a promising a busy day filled with various intellectual dynamics as the light from the Sun is being distributed through many channels.
In more practical terms business dealings will benefit from extra mental energy, we have resourceful capacity to speak our truth or beliefs in the most convincing way. These enhanced verbal abilities combined with powerful imagination propel the mind to communicate concepts persuasively, to summarise the facts and make broad statements. There is no emotional attachment as the main focus is on the intellect which nourishes a productive working environment for those chasing completion and deadlines.
Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune are holding a lot of energy that defines the vibrational signature for the last few days of June. The aspect they make are all directed towards the North node making reference to our future aspirations, hopes and plans. It might seem like we are looking towards the future through an illusory looking glass. Many are overly optimistic and at the same time a bit afraid to of what the future holds.
The aspects that Jupiter and Saturn make respectively sesquare and quincunx indicate that we will be inclined to think more about some imbalances and tensions in our present situation that might affect our future life path. These are energies that are present at the moment work quietly y in the background and don’t affect strongly the day to day activities but many can perceive something strange in the air.
The Moon moves through Taurus in Friday but her emotional influence on us today is weak allowing the mental current to overtake our perceptions and helps to keep us more focused.
In these terms, Friday can be a dynamic day filled with buzzing social activity, warm and positive exchange of ideas.
Saturday is going to be different from Friday in terms of emotional involvement. As the Moon progresses through the last degree of Taurus, she makes sextile with Mars in Cancer. This gives confidence and sincere reactions to our interactions. Most people will know exactly how to express what they feel openly and will have the courage to defend their position with passion. This is a good time to discuss sensitive issues without fearing that you will be misunderstood.
Sunday can be a day in which most of us will reflect on things that happened in the past, the energy of the day is following a steady current set by Saturn North node opposition. This can be time for analysing what holds us back and how to dissolve the limitations that appear as obstacles on our path.
The Moon is now in Gemini adding excitement and colour to the day, our imagination is infused with quick and restless Gemini energy. This lifts the vibration up and brings more positivism. For more people, the day will be carefree, unwilling to deal with problems.
Those who are feeling the urge to get things done, to prepare for something important or to be more organised, are sensing the new energy of the upcoming solar eclipse on the 2nd of July. The beginning of the eclipse season is already here and we need to raise our awareness about what has value and what needs to go.
The weekend tarot card is The Wheel Of Fortune corresponding to the planet Jupiter and element Fire. Jupiter is the planet of luck, expansion, abundance, and wisdom.
Keywords – New opportunities, changes, surprises, possibilities, unforeseen events, good luck, karma, life cycles, destiny, a turning point.
The archetype of The Wheel Of Fortune is the cycle of death and rebirth, the soul cycling round and round until it is ready to move on to the next stage of the journey. Nothing can be possessed and everything changes. The only true freedom can be found in release from the turning of the wheel and this is achieved by accepting its motion and living in harmony with it.
This card tells you there is fate at work and there is nothing much you can do but stay put and enjoy the ride. It also represents something destined to come your way, something you cannot get out of. If you’re going through a difficult time rest assured that it will get better, good luck and good fortune will make their return in time.
Also, facing your destiny could mean that you get a chance to learn lessons and gain wisdom from the past. It represents the power to accept your fate by just accepting that this is the way things are and it isn’t your business to judge the universe as a whole.
You carry in you the archetype of The Fool, fearlessly stepping out into the unknown at the beginning of his journey. When you reach the Wheel of Fortune, you open yourself to the possibility of understanding that not everything is under your control. The wheel may turn one way, or it may turn the other. The direction is not yours to know, nor yours to dictate.
For the most part, life ebbs and flows on its natural journey, and The Wheel Of Fortune card signifies that karma has come full circle.
The Wheel of Fortune resonates with Jupiter. Certain large cycles are much bigger than we are. With certain turns of the Wheel, we can make some preparations and anticipations. But many things are outside of our control and call for surrender. The Fool has been on one particular path but now I get a sense of the direction changing somehow. The journey you thought you were on is at that point where things may be starting to feel not at all like you were anticipating. This can be unsettling or freeing, depending on the way you choose to look at it. All you can do is your basic risk assessments, but then you have to allow fate to move in the direction it wills. The astrology does not chime in like the tarot card does this week in respect of the runic story.
Rune Art by Gabrielle Gern:
Friday’s rune is Fehu. This is Possessions in Ralph Blum’s deck. This rune reminds me of Taurus and the big news there is of course still the early moves of Uranus (The Fool) there. You appear to have made considerable changes to areas of your life and approach that were perhaps too fixed or rigid. You deserve credit for this. Still, Uranus in Taurus is anything but a ‘pen and paper’ exercise. It seems to me as if there is a rigidity of personality structure or personal habits which define you that may have seen significant breakthroughs. In truth, these are some of the biggest ever asked of a person. I get the sense though that we are talking about something else here. You can flex and vibe now in this newer version of you. However, when it comes to concrete decisions, perhaps you are still likely to err toward being risk averse. This is the theme on Friday: “Taking Chances”. These may ask for a completely different way of viewing your whole existence and purpose on the planet. The message boils down to. “Be open” and “be willing to set off on a journey into the unknown”.
Saturday’s rune suggests that the motif from Friday is still in play and that it may well have a strong relational (sexual) component. When we are conservative in our choices so that we feel we are going to remain safe then we cut out potential problems but also potential opportunities. The real compass to guide you in relationships is never one about decision making about practicalities, based on probabilities. That is not really living. The Kenaz rune (Opening) suggests that it is time to operate from a place of being constantly in touch with how you are feeling and what you are feeling, rather than some stymied set of principles. Responding in the moment may seem risky from your current vantage point. But it will prove a much better choice for worthwhile decision-making. This is really about trusting yourself – which in the past you may now realise, you have perhaps not really been doing.
Sunday’s rune is my very favourite. Dagaz appears to suggest the possibility of true magic. Remember you will never locate this outside of you. Even if it looks ‘outside’ it is simply touching upon something that is inside. You are the source of the magic. In terms of The Wheel of Fortune in particular. Become aware that the message is one that you are moving from the hours of darkness into the hours of light. That journey will see you turn a significant corner. But for now, focus on the sheer joy of experiencing the shift of all shifts. Enjoy this completely new way of navigating your life. Uranus in Taurus endorses the release of life force that will come your way, once you surrender to everything that life is showing you about living only in the present moment.
